Community Assistance Grant Program
PURPOSE: The City of Indian Wells recognizes the significance of community-based organizations and/or groups, and the importance they play in providing various services in the communities they serve. The City further recognizes that, at times, circumstances may warrant that financial assistance be provided to some of these groups. Since economic constraints dictate that every request for financial assistance cannot be granted, the City, in order to ensure that each request is processed equitably and consistently has formulated eligibility requirements and policy guidelines that must be met by all applicants requesting financial assistance.
APPLICATION PROCESS: Application forms for the 2008/2009 Community Assistance Grant Program are now available. The open application period is January 15 through March 14, 2008.
The application packet includes procedures, eligibility and criteria in one complete document. Applicants are encouraged to review the application packet in its entirety prior to beginning the application process. Incomplete application packets will not be accepted.
The application packet is available in Word format as a "Form". Please download and save the application to your computer before beginning. Click here to download.
Applications must be submitted using the provided form. If you experience difficulty or have questions regarding the packet, please contact city's Management Analyst at (760) 346-2489 x 227 or grants@indianwells.com.
You must type directly into the shaded gray boxes on the form. The box will expand as you type. (Depending on the version of Word you will be using, Word Forms may not allow for spelling or grammar check but will accept a copy/paste from a word document which has been previously checked and corrected.)
To move through the form simply use the "Tab" key.
The City encourages you to save a final application file to your computer for your permanent record.

**Please note, applications must be RECEIVED by the City by 5:00 pm on March 14, 2008. Applicants will receive email notification/confirmation of receipt of application within 72 hours of receipt.

Introductory Meeting: The City will host an informal “Question and Answer Workshop” to introduce interested applicants to the city’s Community Assistance Grant Program on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:00 am at City Hall. At that time city staff will review the new application and answer all questions related to this important grant program.
