A Nue Vue

Get ready for a “nue” Vue—one that features upgrades to the kitchen, bar and dining area. These renovations will include the purchase of much-needed kitchen equipment, a kitchen remodel to better facilitate food preparation and customer service, a dining room with an enclosed space to cater to private functions and a larger, more open bar.

The City and its partner, Troon, are embarking on significant upgrades to the dining experience, and the City is leveraging off the need to replace aging kitchen equipment to address a full range of upgrades that can be completed while the kitchen and restaurant are shutdown. Here is the scoop on what is happening:

Kitchen

The kitchen equipment at the Vue is due to be replaced, as it has withstood the normal wear and tear of a commercial kitchen since it opened in 2008. Included in the remodel is an improved kitchen layout to better facilitate food preparation for large-scale gatherings and ease in expediting food into the dining room.

Dining Room

Improvements to the dining room include enclosing part of the space so that it can be utilized for private functions, a segment that is growing and generating increased revenue for the restaurant. The enclosed space allows for the hosting of private events like weddings and large group gatherings while keeping the restaurant bar open. The space can be opened for regular dining when needed, and also has its own heating and air conditioning unit, allowing it to be turned off when not in use to be more energy efficient.

Bar

By creating a new, larger bar, extra seating will be added as well as improved ambiance and openness within the dining room. The new rectangular shape will allow for seating all around and windows that will open to the views of the Indian Wells Golf Resort, bringing the feel of the outdoors in.

By completing all three projects at once, renovations are more cost effective and will eliminate the need for future closures in the coming years.

 Closures

The Vue and the Celebrity Ballroom will be closed during construction from July 1 - September 12. While this is inconvenient, the construction is timed to take place during the slowest period of use for the Indian Wells Golf Resort to minimize the impact on guests.

All food and beverage service for golfers from July 1 - September 12 will be from the Indian Wells Golf Resort food truck and beverage carts. Limited menus for golf groups and banquet events will be available with service from the Players Room and Pavilion.

We look forward to seeing you at the nue Vue!
