Indian Wells is currently considering modifications to the landscape ordinance "80/20 Rule", and strongly encourage your participation in attending or providing us your comments at an upcoming study session. A primary purpose of the meetings, is to evaluate, improve, and manage a landscape system to meet the current and future needs of Indian Wells. New and emerging trends as well as state law compliance in landscape will be explored.
The Indian Wells community is invited and encouraged to participate in the process by attending or providing public comments during the following Study Session dates with the Planning Commission:
- Thursday, August 24
- Tuesday, September 5
- Tuesday, September 19
All meetings are open to the public and will be held at Indian Wells City Hall, Council Chambers at 1:30 p.m. Meetings are streamed live on the city website CLICK HERE.
If you can't make any of these dates, please submit your public comment to malvarez@IndianWells.com. All public comments will be shared with the Planning Commissioners. The city will subsequently hold Public Hearings on this matter with the Planning Commission on Thursday, October 5 and City Council on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
