The City Clerk is the local elections administrator and coordinates with the Riverside County Registrar of Voters in the conduct of Municipal elections. Regular elections are consolidated with statewide elections, scheduled on the first Tuesday of November of even numbered years to fill expired City Council terms. All election services are provided according to the California Elections Code.
General Municipal Election
The City of Indian Wells scheduled General Municipal Election is on November 5, 2024. The election is for three (3) Council Member at-large seats, all serve a four-year term.

- Ballot Drop-off Location- Indian Wells, City Hall- Front Lobby 44950 Eldorado Drive Indian Wells CA 92210
- October 7 - November 4, 2024, vote-by-mail ballot drop-off during normal business hours Mon.-Friday 8am-5pm (closed from 12pm-1pm) or you can mail your ballot via USPS (no postage is required).
- Vote Center- Indian Wells, City Hall- Council Chamber 44950 Eldorado Drive Indian Wells CA 92210
- Vote Center from Saturday, November 2 through Monday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 5 from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
